Plaza 25 de Mayo
Sucre organises itself around one square, which is why the centre reads so clearly on a first morning. The Casa de la Libertad stands on one side and the cathedral on another, and the arcades between carry the ice-cream sellers and shoe-shiners. It fills twice a day, at lunch and after dark. Almost everything else here is a fifteen-minute walk away.
